The short version: we collect an email address if you give us one, we count visits in a way that doesn't identify you, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.

What we collect

If you sign up for email

Your email address, any destination interests you tick, the page you signed up from, and — if you arrived from a campaign link — the campaign parameters on that link. That's it. We don't ask for your name, and we don't have it.

If you just read

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookie and builds no persistent identifier for you. It does process your IP address to work out a country, and it does load a small script from Cloudflare. It runs without asking because there is nothing about it to opt out of — but it is not "nothing", so it is named here.

Cookies

This site currently sets no analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, you'll be asked first, with a real choice — and this page will say so before the tag goes live.

Who else is involved

• Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the analytics described above. If a signup form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, that check is strictly necessary to stop automated abuse and runs for everyone.
• Our email provider stores your address and sends you the newsletter once you've signed up. They process it on our behalf and don't get to use it for anything else.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your personal information.
• We don't store successful signups anywhere on this site's own infrastructure — they go straight to the email provider.
• We don't run advertising or retargeting pixels.

One exception worth naming plainly: if the email provider is unreachable when you sign up, we hold your details on Cloudflare for up to 30 days so your signup isn't simply lost, and we add you by hand. Nothing else is kept.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decision and never ask you about cookies at all.

Your choices

Every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately. If you'd like us to delete what we hold about you, email hello@busynextweek.com and we'll do it.

Children

busy next week is written for adults planning trips and isn't directed at children under 13.

Changes

When what we do changes, this page changes with it — before the change goes live, not after. The date at the top is the date to check.
